The Bar 2A Ranch is quietly and beautifully located just 25 kms North of Peace River, AB, surrounded by
farms and ranchland, boreal forest and only 3 miles from the banks of the mighty Peace River.
In the last 7 years since we bought this old homestead, which consistet of nothing more than an old house, a barn
and some granaries, it was transferred to an increasingly developed equine training and boarding facility, while still maintaining
its old time charm and small farm character.
We still have some ways to go till we have completed all the planned projects on the ranch but in those few years
we managed to build this facility including :
- a 160' x 80' indoor riding arena
with 4 attached indoor stalls ( 12' x 12' )
- a 200' x 100' outdoor riding
arena
- a new timber frame barn including 5 indoor stalls ( 12'x12' )
- a 60' round pen
- 3 large outside planked paddocks ( approx. 200' x 200'
) with shelters
- several strong boarded corrals ( approx 30' x 30' )
- over 100 acres of seeded and native pasture
- own woodlot with riding trails
The recreational rider will find endless miles of quading, walking and riding trails, cutlines and outlooks along
and through the hills of the Peace River Valley only 5 miles of riding or trailering distance from our ranch.
